Marriott has opened its 900th Courtyard by Marriott hotel.

The 250-room Courtyard Bali Nusa Dua, the brand’s first hotel in Indonesia, is located along the southern coast of Bali.

The hotel is owned by PT Peninsula Bali Resort and will operate under a long-term management agreement with Marriott International with Philip Spencer as general manager.

The Courtyard Bali Nusa Dua features 250 guestrooms that offer guests Deluxe bedding, 32-inch LCD panel TVs and satellite channels.

MoMo Café presents a menu that blends western dishes with local favorites. MoMo 2 Go is open 24-hours a day, providing "on the run" guests with a "grab and go" kiosk filled with sandwiches, pastries and a wide variety of beverages.

Exercising outdoors is a must in Bali and an ideal track for runners is the paved surroundings of Nusa Dua, where they can work out and explore at the same time. For those interested in strength and cardio training, the fully equipped gym at the hotel offers personal trainers and state of the art machines.

"We are very excited about entering into the Indonesian market," said Janis Milham, vice president and global brand manager for Courtyard by Marriott. "Global expansion is very important to Courtyard as 25% of our pipeline is outside of the United States. We have experienced significant growth in Asia recently where we are serving both business and leisure travelers."

Over the next few years, Courtyard will enter into several new countries including Cambodia, Romania and Jamaica. The overall portfolio is expected to total more than 1,000 hotels in 40 countries by 2013. New from asiatraveltips.com.
